West Lake

I’m now in Hangzhou, about a 75 minute train ride from Shanghai. I rented a bike from the hostel this afternoon — a steep 20 RMB — and pedaled around the famed West Lake. The lake, which is mostly man made, is massive. It would take a full week to explore every nook and cranny. In addition to all the gardens and pathways and pagodas, West Lake is also famous for its sunsets. Thankfully I was able to catch it before the sun dipped beneath the smog, err, mist.
